I was at Jillian’s on Fremont Street in Las Vegas in August to catch Gorgeous Frankenstein. After missing the band on their last visit here, I was hoping there would be no issues with getting photos this time. Their last time through was supporting Danzig at the House of Blues less than a year ago. I heard that during the show Doyle came on stage with Danzig and they did a 20 minute set of classic Misfits songs. I could only dream of being there to catch this moment in time, but I got denied.

Here tonight, I was really impressed with Doyle's guitars of choice, multiple copies of an eerie bat-shaped body with what looked like a single super demon pick up. They gave off the most graveyard-filled sounds as they squealed like bats leaving their den.

Doyle seems like a monster resembling Frankenstein on stage, as he towers over the rest of his bandmates at six foot plus. His wife, George, does the crowd control and keeps the fans on their toes as she dances around during their performance and gets the fans pumped up.

Bassist and vocalist Argyle was trying to keep thing in focus, but was having amp problems most of the show. His vocals held throughout though and they even played a few Misfits' tunes in the mix. Going from early Danzig days to later Michael Graves era, this was enough to bring back the first time I ever heard those songs.

Joining them on tour this round was Dr. Chud, Michael Graves era Misfits. I could hear his drumming, but his drum set covered any angles that would allow a good view of Graves. The show was really worth catching
after missing there last time through town, as I actually got the chance to catch part of a legend in punk history on
stage. I am still hoping for the day when all members say 'Let's give it one go and get back together to close off that era that brought together a generation of underground punks to pursue their own bands.'
